Write the Room: A NEW YEAR

This is a perfect activity to do immediately following winter break when students return to school for the New Year.

In this set of task cards, each card has a letter on it that corresponds with the words A NEW YEAR. Place the cards around the room and have students walk around to find the cards and “write the room,” by answering the various questions. An alternate use is to have them in a center or small group station.

The questions provided in this set ask students to either:

• Reflect on something from the school year
• Set goals for the remainder of the year
• Share something about themselves
